Years ago, I worked for a radio station. The KWL.

Strange place.
It didn't run any songs, or interviews, or news. Just stories. Any genre. Any length. So long as it was original.
I was one of the two people in charge of writing them.

We worked nights to have everything ready for the morning recording.

I still remember the night I decided to quit.

Pretty chill visual novel 👍

this game achieves an extremely particular and powerful aura, between the almost overwhelmingly calm music track, the methodical patience of the dialogue and sprite transitions, and the leaps between the practical and the dreamlike in the conversation... loved it

I REALLY enjoyed this one.  Really good atmosphere, presentation, pacing, etc - despite the tight word limit, it never once felt rushed.  All the back and forth between Hazel and the main character was great, but I especially love that last section where they're rapid-fire listing story ideas, and that line about an egg that doesn't want to be born (with that whole tie-in to the idea of Hazel -- and the main character before quitting -- settling for creative mediocrity).  Those final few lines where she OK's the idea of a radio station for ghosts, and it suddenly cuts to black... Phenomenal!!!

Thank you very much! The last section was fun to come up with (but also more difficult than I expected because by that point I was running out of words -- forcing for a faster pace I suppose)

The most down-to-earth, charming, and bittersweet existential crisis I've ever had, thank you good sir-

It was a delight to read as always, and really hit me harder than I expected- Good stuff!

And thank you for playing! I'm usually terrible with super-short form, so it's great to see it had impact!

Reading this made me feel warm in my tummy. Wonder if KWL is supposed to stand for something specific.

Very witty and bittersweet. I adore the way you wrote their dialogue :) <3

Thanks for playing! Happy to hear you enjoyed the flow of the dialogue!
